Travelling by car
The Borough of Scarborough can be reached by road nationally
from the A1 or M1, both run close to York in
North Yorkshire.
There are good road links into
the Borough from Leeds and York using the
A64 , other key roads include the A171 Middlesbrough
- Whitby - Scarborough road, the A165 Scarborough to
Filey and the A170 Scarborough to Thirsk roads.
Scarborough now has a new
Park and Ride
facility for easy parking.

Scarborough Spa Express
The Scarborough Spa Express is a regular summer
heritage steam locomotive service between York and Scarborough via
Harrogate and Leeds. It is operated by the West Coast
Railway Company.

The nearest ferry port to the Borough is at Hull
(around 45 miles / 75 minutes by road) to the south of
Scarborough.
