Out and About
Wolds Wolds

The Yorkshire Wolds are a series of gently rolling chalk hills and valleys which lie south of the Derwent Valley and roll down towards the Humber estuary.

The distinctive landscape of the Wolds provides a contrast of peaceful winding dry valleys and wide airy summits with superb views and open skies.

The Yorkshire Wolds Way is an 80 mile walk taking in some of the most spectacular scenery. Whether the walk is undertaken in stages or all at once, it should be savoured to ensure maximum enjoyment. Explore the many villages and churches along the way and call into one of the local pubs or cafes for some well-earned refreshment.
