Out and About
Scarborough Scarborough

Broken by a rocky headland, on which stands Scarborough's medieval castle, are Scarborough’s two bays. The South has an excellent choice of amenities, impressive stretch of golden sand and clean safe water which is perfect for children.

Whilst both beaches offer opportunities for donkey rides and castles in the sand, an area of the unspoilt beach of the North Bay is popular with Surfers & Jet Ski’s. Both beaches have been awarded the ENCAMS Seaside Award and will be flying the distinctive blue and yellow flag.

Cliff tops and a busy shopping centre stand only yards apart and are all reached by the famous Victorian cliff lifts. In fact, those same Victorians left a town of immense style with some of the finest parks and gardens in Britain.

Beach Chalets are available for weekly hire on both Scarborough’s North & South Bays.
