Britain in Bloom awards 2006 - Multi award winning

Scarborough – Gold & Category Winner (Coastal category), Tourism award.

The Royal Horticultural Society judges praised Scarborough saying “With a tourist industry dating back over three hundred years Scarborough has hung onto its traditional seaside image with sea front attractions, fine parks and exceptional floral displays. 

The links Scarborough in Bloom continue to develop with the local community are unrivalled and should be the envy of every Local Authority.”

Cayton – Silver Gilt (Large Village category).

The RHS judges were extremely impressed  by Cayton’s extensive and colourful floral displays, and also the high standard of the environment within the village as they found it to be weed and litter free.
