RHS Tatton Park 2006 - Gold Medal

Once again Parks & Countryside Services team were awarded a prestigious Gold Medal in the RHS Tatton Park Flowershow, National Flowerbed Competition, for their exhibit “The Dinosaur Coast”.

The flowerbed depicted 3 dimensional dinosaurs gambolling around the flowerbed and was a huge success attracting many crowds (and lots of children).  The exhibit also featured replica dinosaur footprints cast from an original one found on the Yorkshire coast.

The inspiration for the bed was the celebration of renovation works beginning at the famous Rotunda Museum, which was built by William Smith, “The Father of English Geology”.
